Quick Quiz About Loughborough

Did you know that Friday 31st January was the 104th anniversary of the Zeppelin raid on Loughborough? Bombs dropped near the yard of the Crown and Cushion (now Peter's Pizzas), in The Rushes, in Thomas Street, and in Empress Road. 10 people were killed, 12 injured and there was much damage to the town's buildings. Looking back over the blog, it seems I have written regularly about these attacks so you can read more about this event from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018! You can also follow the walking trail on this blog. The Zeppelin commemoration plaques are also included on Walking the Plaques. So, this blog post is not going to cover Zeppelins - but do watch this space in the weeks to come!!!!
